I haven’t mentioned Bobby Maggard for a while, have I? Well, today I will, as there’s this nice 2017 release of yet another project of his, namely Hydrocephalus with the title “Do You Have To Go To Medical School To Be A Forensic Pathologist?” and I am just in the right mood for some great gorenoise stuff.
Corpse Knife / Gangrene Discharge (split CDr review)
Battle of the one man goregrind projects! Although it might seem to be so, it’s not (at least, I hope it’s not!), it’s a nice collaboration between two underground scene stalwarts, Bob “The Butcher” Macabre (who is also active in many other projects and runs also Macabre Mastermind Records and co-own Death Becomes Her Records) and Bobby Maggard (and you should know by now his Regurgitated Stoma Stew Productions).
Clumps of Flesh – Saw (CDr review)
The sounds of running chainsaw…what a sound it is! And exactly with this sound Bobby Maggard starts another Clumps of Flesh release, this time it’s a mini-album from 2019. That doesn’t say a lot, as Bobby has put out some other CoF releases this year also (and I’ve already reviewed another 2019 release, “Violent Night of Butchery”), but you know…just to keep you in the loop, so to speak.
Decomposed Birth / Infester – split (CDr review)
It’s weekend, people, it really is! And most importantly – it’s a weekend off my regular job (I could hardly wait for that), so I can relax enjoy the ocassional rain showers and also listen to some stuff I’ve accumulated here at the Rubber Axe’s HQ. Well, who wouldn’t look forward to such a plan…
Clumps Of Flesh – Violent Night of Butchery (CDr review)
Clumps of Flesh is another of more active projects of Bobby Maggard, as you could learn from the interview I did with this interesting underground promoter of gorenoise, but we’re talking gore/grind here. And luckily, it’s different enough to be recognized as separated project from Gangrene Discharge I reviewed yesterday.
Gangrene Discharge – Gore Torture (CDr review)
Thanks to Bobby M. from the Regurgitated Stoma Stew Productions I have the opportunity to review the material from one of his many projects, namely “Gore Torture” by Gangrene Discharge (and in the case you don’t know who Bobby Maggard is, you might check a kickass interview with the man).
Confessions of the gorenoise superman (back and forth with Adam Rotella)
As I continue with my exposition of gorenoise, this obscure sub-sub-subgenre of extreme musick, one name (OK, actually three names initially, but one person has declined to be interviewed, and that wish has to be respected) has popped up in almost every conversation with gorenoise artists and fans – Adam Rotella, the famous founder of gorenoise and the mind behind Anal Birth and other gorenoise projects/bands.
