Choppin’ Headz #1 (zine review)

Posted on March 13, 2021

Choppin’ Headz zine has reminded me it was quite a long time since I’d reviewed anything printed. Well, it’s about time to change that. Indeed, it seems like I hardly read anything at all! It’s not true, though, but still… read more

Weng’s Chop #5 (magazine review)

Heeeey, have you finished reading the first Spooktacular issue 4.5 of this great cinema megazine? I sure as hell have given you some time to do so since my review of it. Yeah, time flies. read more

Mike Hauss – Spaghetti Westerns, volume 2 (a publication review)

Posted on April 25, 2020

My friend and a true spaghetti western connosieur Mike Hauss published the second volume of his new publication by the end of November 2019, and this time, it took me quite a long time to get it, I am ashamed to admit!!! I can’t remember the reason though, as I usually order my reading material straight after it’s released for the public…but then, the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020 was quite turmulous, so…anyway, just the other day I’ve received my order from Amazon and among other publications (of which I’m gonna write later), there was this nice addition to my library. read more

Michael Hauss – Spaghetti Westerns! Volume 1 (a book/zine review)

Posted on February 15, 2020

It’s a book, it’s a zine…it’s a bookzine!!! OK, I’ve gone a little too artistic on this, but the truth is – it’s a truly true statement! Hm…I need to stop trying to be funny now, let’s get serious. Because this publication deserves a serious treatment. read more

Weng’s Chop #4.5 (magazine review)

Posted on July 10, 2019

One would say, that when you have numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, normally you would expect number 5 to follow, right? Well, good-hearted folks producing your favourite cinema megazine Weng’s Chop think differently and back in the day have brought us issue #4.5, which in time had evolved into an annual Spooktacular issue. Nice, isn’t it? read more

Weng’s Chop #4 (magazine review)

Posted on February 17, 2019

My quest to review the best underground cinema-related magazine made me realize I have missed so many great movies. And I forgot others I did want to watch, but for some reason I haven’t. Yeah, that’s the beauty (and probably the price as well) for our hectic lives today (at least for many of us). read more

Weng’s Chop #3 (magazine review)

Posted on February 2, 2019

The more I am delving into the old issues of the most prominent cinema magazine today – and it’s no hyperbole, especially when considering the content (and the quantity of it) – the more I am re-discovering stuff I should remember to get (and watch) but for some strange reason I’ve forgotten. Well, second time’s the charm, isn’t it? read more

Weng’s Chop magazine #2 (magazine review)

Posted on January 24, 2019

Well, isn’t that a time to have a nice retro look at another issue of one of the world’s best, if not the best, current movie magazines? Of course it is! read more

Weng‘s Chop #1 (magazine review)

Posted on January 15, 2019

I don‘t remember this clearly, but I think I‘ve bought issues 0, 1,2 and 3 together in one batch. So, after my look at the issue which has started it all – yeah, issue 0, if you haven‘t figured it out – let‘s have a look at the issue numero uno (and that issue #1 and I don‘t speak Italian, I‘m just being a smart ass, lol). read more

Weng‘s Chop #0 (magazine review)

Posted on January 4, 2019

As you might already know from reading my review of the December 2018 issue of Weng‘s Chop cinema megazine, I am a big fan of this publication and I am awaiting the announcement of any new issue with passion. read more
