It’s been quite a while since I’d reviewed anything gorenoise related. Gorenoise Megasplit volume 1, the compilation I’m going to write a few words about, was sent to me by our friends in the Italian label Nosevomit Records quite a long time ago, and I am ashamed to have waited for so long before reviewing it. Well, time to wait is over, let’s have a look how ugly this boy turned out to be!
Fresh from the toilet coming a new international gorenoise project Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis and not surprisingly, that’s two guys I know! The noise is handled by Longrio Ronghang from India, the seasoned gorenoise/goregrind fanatic known from Coagulopathy or Regoregitated Sacrifice, and the bubbling vokills are done by none other than Pawel Harmaciński, who’s behind such maniacal projects like Bestial Pokemonophile, E-DROPS or absolutely impronouncionable Lymphangioleiomyomatosis Multifocal Lymphangioendotheliomatosis (where the fuck you’ve got that name from, Paweł?). By the way, you can check the interview I’ve done with Paweł here.
I think you know already that Regurgitated Stoma Stew Productions is the leader in releasing the gorenoise/goregrind material, I doubt that anyone will object to this observation (although, to be honest, there are quite a few great labels who are more than a solid competition to Bobby Maggard’s amateur forensic pathology efforts) and I am more than pleased to have yet another amazing split from his releases to review.
I haven’t mentioned Bobby Maggard for a while, have I? Well, today I will, as there’s this nice 2017 release of yet another project of his, namely Hydrocephalus with the title “Do You Have To Go To Medical School To Be A Forensic Pathologist?” and I am just in the right mood for some great gorenoise stuff.
Interesting split, this one. Max and his Massive Gore Bulge project (or MxGxBx for short, and you know I’ve interviewed him, right) got featured on not one, two…neither on three, but on 4 splits in less than a month! And while his splits with Leucodistrofia and Subhuman Scum still continue in a way of his beginnings in a pure gorenoise (referring to 2018 demo, of course), interestingly, with “Trapped in the Harsh Reality of Pain” release, and split with Septic Convulsion we’re getting more of a goregrind diet than gorenoise. Not that I would complain.
During the conversation after finishing our video interview Ian Berling has mentioned the upcoming 3-way split which would feature his band Zombie Raiders. And to his surprise (and my delight), the material was already released just a day before! Talk about good timing!
